At least keep in touch with him before he forgets it and go to another dealer. If you must send it to a "To Whom It May Concern " do not bother and do not waste your time. - Paragraph one: It should be a simple one line sentence that says "I understand you are looking for a program director " or "your opening for a sales representative caught my eye." It is a simple and to the point opening paragraph. - Paragraph two: Again you need no more than two sentences stating to the effect "Because of the remarkable match between your needs and my talents I have sent you my enclosed resume via overnight delivery." - Paragraph three: You should briefly state to the effect "As you can see I am skilled (or proficient) in:" and then bullet point three key skills from your resume.
If yours is a service write to him explaining him why he should secure your services. Sometimes your letter might give him the jerk necessary to wake him up and you will become a winner. Sometimes it so happens that customers call you to get details of your products or services and you end up the conversation thinking that you have convinced the customer to purchase from you. The important thing to remember is that next dealer to whom he talks to next will do the same thing as you did; hence to add value to your conversation you write to him giving more details and it might do the trick to grab the business for you. Even if he didn t ask for more details on your product or the service provide him with all the detail you think will be useful to him so that there will be no doubts left in his mind. There are occasions that customers come to you and make discussions and agree to make purchases or to get services from you and then go silent. You are quite sure that they will come back to you as they have made the commitment with you but still don t be complacent. Write to him and ask him what you can do to help him or you can make your own suggestion on how you can help him. At least keep in touch with him before he forgets it and go to another dealer.

This letter is similar to the simple letter (the first type of letter). Just like the simple letter it also states that as a buyer you are interested in the owner s property. The difference between a simple letter and this 2nd type of letter is that when you write the 2nd type of letter you are already setting a price tag you are willing to pay for for their property.
Go over each of these items in detail! Look for any errors or inaccuracies. If you find any errors or inaccuracies think about how you can prove that the items are wrong. You should especially focus on the items in the section called "Reported Information". If there are reports of debts you owe to banks that you know you have paid gather your proof (do you have a receipt for paying the debt? etc.). Collect all this information. Now lets get busy and go on the attack! It s time to get your report corrected. You may need to write two or three letters but the first letter is the most important.
